According to Spanish newspaper 'AS', Atletico Madrid see keeping goalkeeper Jan Oblak as a priority for next season which is why they have already offered him a contract extension.

Oblak has had another incredible season for 'Los Rojiblancos', keeping 29 clean sheets and conceding just 28 goals in all competitions.

His contract expires in 2021 and has a release clause of €100million. However, this isn't considered high enough for Atletico, who are keen to see that clause increase.

This is because the La Liga giants are well aware of interest in Oblak from their European rivals.

The strongest is arguably from Liverpool, who are after a new shotstopper after the calamitious performance of Loris Karius in the Champions League final.

For these reasons, the aforementioned media source suggests that Atletico have already put an offer on the table for Oblak, one that contains a salary increase and a release-clause price hike.

However, although many believe it could be in the region of €200million, 'AS' doesn't expand on what the new clause could potentially be.
