'The Sun' claims that Atletico Madrid are not ruling out selling Jan Oblak in January. His contract expires in June 2023 and there is no news in the 'Colchonero' team that he wants to renew him. That is why the club are already looking for a possible replacement. Gusta Emiliano Martinez, Aston Villa goalkeeper.

Jan Oblak is, without a doubt, Diego Pablo Simeone's key player. For many, he is the best goalkeeper in the world, a real lock under the goalposts that Atletico do not want to lose.

The Slovenian's contract with Atletico expires in June 2023. The club would be delighted to renew him, but so far nothing has happened in the offices regarding Oblak's continuity.

'The Sun' reports that Oblak could even leave in January. The club are not aware that Oblak would want to continue beyond June 2023, so they would even consider transferring him in the winter transfer window to avoid him leaving for free with the 2022-23 season already over.

Atletico are already looking for a replacement. According to the British newspaper, the Spaniards would have targeted Emiliamo Martinez, goalkeeper of Aston Villa.

The 30-year-old Argentine goalkeeper is reportedly on the 'Colchoneros' agenda. He has a contract until 2027 and 'The Sun' estimates that he could leave for around 22 million euros.
