Lautaro Martinez is the first name on Atletico Madrid's transfer this summer as they look to reinforce their attacking options. The Spaniards have already had an offer rejected by Inter, however they have stepped up their intentions by sending representatives to Milan to negotiate an agreement for the Argentine, according to reports from 'Tuttosport'.

Atletico are not taking 'no' for an answer. They believe that Inter's Lautaro Martinez has what it takes to be a part of Simeone's squad and they're willing to fight until the end for the player's signature.

'Tuttosport' indicates that Atletico have sent representatives to Milan to directly negotiate with Inter, in the hope that a face-to-face interaction might make the Italians more open to a deal.

This is after Inter rejected Atletico's initial offer. According to 'Il Corriere dello Sport', the Spanish side had made an offer in the region of 40 to 50 million for the Argentine, which was duly rejected by the Italian club.

Inter see a 80 to 90 million price tag as more fitting - certainly an exorbitant figure. Atleti have faith that their visit to Italian soil will make the club willing to lower their high asking price.

The transfer window has barely got going and Atletico are not thinking about throwing in the towel so easily. Lautaro is exactly what Simeone wants and the club would be the perfect fit for the Argentine.
