Álvaro Cervera went on 'Tiempo de Juego' on 'COPE' to talk about the victory against Real Madrid; a feat that the Cadiz coach did not see as closed until the final whistle. "At half-time I thought we were losing", said the coach.

Cadiz's heroics against Real Madrid continue to make people talk and Alvaro Cervera, coach of the Andalusians, wanted to shed more light on the match in an interview for 'Tiempo de Juego' on 'COPE'.

In it, the manager was sincere about his feelings at that moment: "At the break I thought that we were losing. We had many chances in the first half, we had so many chances that I thought that, in quotes, we had been forgiven".

"I was looking at the minutes and I saw that we were closer, I thought that we were getting something and as it came to the end I thought that we could win and we did," he said about his thoughts as the game progressed.

The key was in the attitude: "We went with respect, I don't know if it was fear, but with respect. I wanted to leave Madrid well, without having to lift the players' spirits the next day. I knew that it was an opportunity to value ourselves and compete well".
