The Madrid midfielder will be the latest to commit his long-term future to the European champions in a new contract worth millions, with all figures reportedly already agreed.

According to 'AS', Marco Asensio will be the latest star to renew his contract with Real Madrid. The new deal will reportedly become official next week, although the agreement has been in place since the beginning of the summer.

Los Blancos want to make the announcement after Zidane's side meet Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, just before Asensio heads off to represent 'La Roja' on international duty.

The Spanish playmaker's current contract runs until 2020, and the new deal will see him stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2023, with a buy-out clause of €500m. Although Madrid haven't ruled out increasing the buy-out clause further in order to stop the arrival of any Sheik, they are confident that no-one will be able to afford such a high fee.

At just 21, Asensio has already earned the trust of Zidedine Zidane and has become a fan's favourite amongst the Madrid faithful. His performances have even shrowded doubt over Gareth Bale's place in the 'BBC' attacking trio, and even Cristiano Ronaldo has called him a possible future Ballon d'Or winner.

'L'Equipe' named him the best U21 player in the world, ahead of other players of a similar age, such as French stars Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele.

Now, Madrid have secured his future services with yet another contract renewal which could benefit the team for years to come.
