Arsenal to reduce players' salaries if they do not make CL

While most European clubs are taking immediate meaures with player's salaries to prevent a financial crisis, there are other clubs like Arsenal who are thinking about returning to football and could cut players' wages as a punishment rather than a necessity.
According to 'The Telegraph', the Gunners could reduce their footballers' salaries if they do not qualify for the next edition of the Champions League.
The media outlet seems to suggest that the club have mentioned this measure to the team's senior players, who are obviously not happy with the measure.
You have to remember that Arsenal are eight points off the Champions League places and there are quite a lot of teams in the mix so it looks a tough ask.
