According to the 'Daily Mail', Arsenal are interested in signing Marc Guehi to replace William Saliba, who is not recovering as his team had hoped. Moreover, the Gunners want to strengthen their defence for next season.

William Saliba limped off during Arsenal's Europa League last-16 second leg defeat against Sporting Lisbon. But his recovery process is not going as the Gunners had hoped.

The 22-year-old is a key player for the squad but the Arsenal boss cannot count on him yet: "He hasn’t improved this week at all," Arteta told reporters on Monday.

The Frenchman's absence has been a huge setback in their hunt for the Premier League title. As a result, the board are considering signing a replacement for Saliba in the next transfer window.

According to the 'Daily Mail', the Gunners are targeting Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi for next campaign. His current contract expires in 2026 but his future could change dramatically if he receives an offer from Arsenal.
