Arsenal surprise contenders to sign De Ligt
Unai Emery's Arsenal have emerged as surprise contenders to sign 19-year-old Ajax centre-back Matthijs De Ligt, according to The Sun.
Arsenal must finish in the top four in order to reach Ajax's asking price of £70m meaning that Emery would have to sell Mesut Ozil, who is on £350,000-a-week, in order to raise the funds. Arsenal are planning to enter a summer bid for the Ajax centre-back who has worked with Gunners legends Dennis Bergkamp and Marc Overmars.
