Monza are so happy with Pablo Mari's role this season that they have decided to make his transfer permanent, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Spanish centre-back will leave Arsenal after four seasons with the English club.
Mari already left Arsenal in search of playing time last season for Udinese, where he established himself in Italian football with 15 starts in 15 games. However, this was not enough for Arteta and last summer he went back out on loan from the Gunners to Monza, where he has been a key player for Palladino's side.
That is why the Italian club has decided to keep the 29-year-old centre-back, with the Emirates Stadium outfit receiving a fee of 6 million euros to make the transfer permanent.
"Arsenal are set to receive £6m fee for Pablo Mari as his transfer to Serie A side Monza will be made permanent. Personal terms already agreed, it’s done and sealed," the Italian journalist wrote on his Twitter account.
Pablo Mari has made 27 appearances for Monza this season, 25 as a starter. The Spanish centre-back was able to score a goal against Spezia to give Monza the win at home.
