Arsenal have strengthened Mikel Arteta's management team ahead of an important phase in the season by extending the contracts of five essential staff members.
The Londoners have agreed new long-term deals with five members of Mikel Arteta's coaching staff, ensuring they will remain at the Emirates Stadium. While Arteta himself signed a new contract in September, his coaching team's deals were set to expire this summer.
Since his appointment as manager in December 2019, Arteta has built a trusted group of assistants, including Albert Stuivenberg, Carlos Cuesta, Miguel Molina, Inaki Cana and Nicolas Jover.
Although the coach's contract extension was secured last year, his backroom staff had not yet signed their renewals. With one foot in the Champions League semi-finals after a dominant 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the quarter-final first leg, Arteta's side have now received a further boost ahead of their upcoming match against Brentford.
According to the Evening Standard, all five staff members have now committed to new contracts, aligning their terms with the length of Arteta's deal, which runs until the summer of 2027.
