Xavi Hernandez saw Ronald Araujo return to training this Saturday, a day before Barcelona are due to play Getafe. The Uruguayan ended up in hospital after clashing heads with Gavi during their match against Celta on Tuesday. However, he has now returned to work and could well see his name on the squad list for Sunday's fixture.

Barca are just one point from securing second place in La Liga and consequently their presence in the 2023 Spanish Supercopa. 'Los Azulgranas' will play Getafe in their next match, and Ronald Araujo could be taking part in it.

The Uruguayan, who passed out after clashing heads with Gavi during their last match and ended up in hospital, returned to training this Saturday. It was Barcelona's last session of the week and Araujo wants to be in the squad for Sunday's match.

According to 'Mundo Deportivo', Xavi does not want to risk his player but he has not dismissed including him in his squad list due to the number of defenders he has out injured at the moment. "He wants to play. That's what he wants and it excites us. His commitment thrills me. The feelings are good. He was not unconscious and that's important in him being available for Sunday", said the coach.

The main absense from the session was Martin Braithwaite. The Dane did not train due to a knock and it looks as though he will not travel to Getafe. Youth team players were also seen in the session. These being: Mika Mármol, Alejandro Balde, Álvaro Sanz, Jandro Orellana and Carevic.
