Ronald Araujo is back at Barcelona after Uruguay got knocked out of the World Cup. It is expected that the defender will be made available to Xavi from this Monday, when the international players return to work.

Uruguayan centre-back Ronald Araujo returned to Barcelona this Saturday from Qatar, and could be involved in Xavi's training sessions next Monday.

That is when the Barcelona players who are not still with their national side have been told they are to be back at training after a few weeks rest.

Araujo, who went with Uruguay to Qatar but who did not play a single minute, got injured at the end of September whilst playing for his country and had to be operated on by a Finnish specialist after doing a tendon in his right thigh. It was estimated then that he would be out for around three months.

On Uruguay's manager Diego Alonso's sepcific request, the player travelled to Qatar, but the Spanish side said he was not allowed to play because he was in the middle of his recovery, and they sent two physiotherapists to monitor him. If the predictions are met, Araujo will continue with his recovery it is not planned he will get the all clear from the doctor until the end of the year.
