Anselmi's final thoughts as FC Porto exit Club World Cup
FC Porto head coach Martin Anselmi spoke to the press after FC Porto’s 4-4 draw against Al Ahly, which meant the Portuguese side's exit from the Club World Cup.
FC Porto was surprisingly eliminated from the 2025 Club World Cup when the Portuguese team started as favourites to qualify from a group shared with Inter Miami, Palmeiras and Al Ahly.
However, their debut against Palmeiras ended in a goalless draw and they suffered a painful comeback against Inter Miami due to an incredible free-kick goal by Leo Messi. Finally, an eight-goal thriller that ended in a share of the spoils against Al Ahly confirmed the Portuguese team's exit from the tournament.
