Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for Bayern Munich against the basement boys to pave the way for probablty another victory and leave the Bundesliga title closer to the Allianz Arena. The Pole got himself another record relating to scoring goals.

It was first against last. And with the Polish striker in form. What happened just before the half hour mark was coming. Kimmich's cross was headed in by Lewandowski to open the scoring.

As well as paving the way for another triumph, the Polish got another achievement: score at least 38 goals (1 per game) in his last four seasons at Bayern Munich

42, 43, 41 and 38 up to half-time in the game against Hannover (the leaders were winning 2-0 because Goretzka scored later on). Fantastic statistics for a striker who was only slightly off colour in his first season with 25 goals in 49 matches.

So the top foreign goalscorer in the Bundesliga has the second half and two more games to try and get another achievement: score at least 40 goals in all competitions in these last four campaigns.

In addition, he managed to achieve something else. He has scored at least one goal in his last five games against this opponent
