Amancio Ortega, Inditex owner, publicly denied, through his private wealth management company, that he is not among the candidates to buy Manchester United. "There is no interest," he said.

'Manchester Evening News' reported on Thursday that Amancio Ortega wanted to buy Manchester United. Apparently, the Spanish businessman has already contacted the club's directors to tell them of his intention. David Beckham and Apple are also interested in buying the club, according to the report.

However, the reality is very different, as the owner of Inditex denied his intention to become the owner of the English club. "We don't know where this information has come from. There is no interest. Neither in that club nor in others", affirmed Pontegadea, the company that manages the private assets of the well-known businessman.

It is worth remembering that Ortega is the 19th richest person in the world and although he has investments of all kinds, football still eludes him.

As for United, a candidate for the future sale of the club has been dropped, while names such as David Beckham and Apple remain.
