Alves explains decision to leave Barcelona
The Brazilian has revealed what led him to make the decision to leave the SPanish Champions, with the defender headed for the Serie A.
Dani Alves has explained why he has decided to call time on his successful spell at Barcelona, with the righ-back headed for Juventus this summer.
"I believe players need to leave their comfort zone and, for that reason, I have left a comfortable position. Barcelona is an incredible club, but I was too comfortable there, and in my case, this means that something isn't right, " the Brazilian explained.
Alves confessed that he needed new challenges and that Serie A was very appealing for him.
"Challenges motivate me, and I want to fight to make history somewhere else. I hope things turn out just as well for me but just at a different club, " he added.
It is believed the Brazilian's move to Juventus will be confirmed within the next few days.
