Atletico Madrid player Julian Alvarez assured, after the comeback against Real Valladolid (4-2), that his team is only thinking about the match against Las Palmas. The former Man City man did not want to assess whether they really have options to fight for the title.

The Argentine Julian Alvarez highlighted on Monday the importance of the three points earned against Valladolid (4-2), with two goals from his own, and called for moving forward game by game, without looking beyond the next one, next Saturday against Las Palmas at the Gran Canaria stadium.

"We have to think about Las Palmas, rest after this game. We're only going to think about the next game, just that,“ he said in statements to ‘DAZN’ at the end of the clash, in which he reviewed that he had ”some other chances" to score, in addition to his two goals from the penalty spot.

"The important thing is that we were able to win. At one point it got complicated for us, in some isolated move, but we pulled it off," he added.

Atletico have already turned the page on the Champions League and Copa del Rey eliminations. "There's nothing left but to keep moving forward thinking about what's next. Now, Las Palmas," he said.
