Despite the unexpected Bundesliga defeat against Mainz 05, almost the entire Bayern Munich squad went to Ibiza for a few days of partying. They did so with the permission of Julian Nagelsmann, who has given them a few days off ahead of the final two games of the season. The trip was reported in the pages of 'Bild', which specified that Manuel Neuer, among others, stayed in Germany.

Bayern Munich have already won the Bundesliga and are eliminated from the Champions League, so the squad have just two games left to close out the season. The players took the opportunity to party in Ibiza after Julian Nagelsmann gave them a few days off after losing to Mainz 05.

'Bild' newspaper published the light holiday that some players, such as captain Manuel Neuer who stayed in Germany, were deprived of. The reason is obvious: after such an unexpected defeat in the last round of La Liga, neither he nor any of the other players feel it is the right time to celebrate.

In addition, the Bavarians were eliminated in Europe against Villarreal, an opponent against whom they were favourites. In the Cup, the Bavarians were eliminated after a painful 5-0 defeat against Borussia Monchengladbach in the second round. These are reasons for anxiety for the fans and the management.

And that's why Neuer and others didn't think it was right to travel to Ibiza, Spain's top tourist destination for partying and relaxation. This Tuesday, the squad should be back at the training complex to prepare for the match against Stuttgart on Sunday, 8th May.
