After sealing his move to Manchester United on Monday in a switch deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go to Arsenal, Alexis Sanchez is set for his Red Devils debut.

Jose Mourinho could not resist aiming a slight dig at rivals Arsenal after swooping in ahead of Premier League pacesetters Manchester City for the Chilean's services. Now, Sanchez can get his Old Trafford career started in a competition where he has become something of a talisman in recent times.

Stating that he is happy with the development of younger players, the United boss is eager to combine his young talent with more experienced players such as Sanchez, who will certainly boost Mourinho's options up front, with the former Gunner able to play in virtually any attacking position.

The 29-year-old signed a four-and-a-half year deal at Old Trafford and will become the club's highest-paid player, having scored 80 goals in 166 appearances in all competitions during his time at the Emirates.

The Portuguese will be handed the opportunity to deploy his new frontman against Sky Bet League Two side Yeovil in their FA Cup fourth-round tie on Friday, a competition Sanchez has won on two occasions (2015 and 2017), notably scoring in both finals.
