Alex Sandro expected to leave Juventus at the end of the season but his contract has been automatically renewed. The clause imposed in his contract signed in 2018 has been activated.

Alex Sandro will not leave Juventus in June as a free agent. The Brazilian defender expected to have to look for a new destination but his contract has been automatically renewed thanks to a clause in his contract.

The left-back has played 37 competitive matches for the Italian side this season and has exceeded the percentage stipulated in the clause of his contract.

As a result, Sandro will stay at Juventus Stadium for one more season and will receive 6.5 million euros. Allegri's tactical change has benefited the former Porto player.

Juventus are second on 69 points in Serie A after suffering a 15-point sanction and have three games in hand before the end of the season.
