Alba and Messi combine to put Barcelona ahead
Barcelona took the lead against Athletic Bilbao thanks to Lionel Messi, who received the ball of his trusted left-back Jordi Alba.
The Alba-Messi combination returned to help Barcelona open the scoring against Bilbao.
Messi found his man on the left flank before Alba returned the favour by cutting the ball back for the striker in the box. From that point on, there was only one outcome: a Barcelona goal.
