Sergio Aguero, shortly after leaving Leo Messi's house, took the chance to confirm to a group of Barcelona fans that he will be staying at the club next season, despite his compatriot and close friend's shock departure.

Barcelona fans around the world are currently going through a traumatic time following the departure of Leo Messi. After an entire career at the club, the Argentine will start a new adventure away from Catalonia for the first time in his senior career.

For that reason, Messi made the decision to host a dinner this Saturday to say goodbye. Family members and close friends alike attended the meal, and among them was Sergio Aguero.

The Argentine, one of the new faces at Barcelona, took the opportunity to give an honourable farewell to his compatriot and close friend. One only has to look as far as his recent Instagram post pictured alongside the world star.

But Aguero's night didn't end there. Right when he left Messi's house, the striker was surrounded by a group of fans who were looking to take photos with him. In a given moment, one Barca supporter asked him if he would continue at the club despite the departure of their famous number 10. Aguero's answer calmed everyone down: "I'll be staying all year, don't worry".

Thus, the man from Buenos Aires squashed, in no uncertain terms, the news reported by 'La Porteria' who stated that the player, frustrated by Messi's departure, intended to break his contract with the club.
