The Argentinian Federation (AFA) have issued a statement in which they explain that they have sent a formal complaint to CONMEBOL over the controversial decisions which went against Argentina in their loss over Brazil.

The VAR row rumbles on. After what happened in the clash between Brazil and Argentina, the AFA have gone out on the attack to defend their national team.

The refereeing in the semi-final game was controversial and the federation have presented a complaint to CONMEBOL.

Hours before sending the formal complaint, the AFA published a message which seemed to be an attack on the officials. "We saw the same as you" was the message in a rectangle which looked very similar to the rectangle referees make when there is VAR.

The Argentinian paper 'Ole' reports that, according to the AFA's sources, the federation will ask CONMEBOL for the VAR recordings

The paper also says that Leodan Gonzalez, the VAR, called the referee Roddy Zambrano over to review his decisions, but that he refused to do so
