Italian club side AC Milan have released a video appeal directed at UEFA, asking for everyone to be treated with equality ahead of their expected Financial Fair Play (FFP) verdict.

The club released a video on Twitter on Monday, putting forward their arguments in the case, as well as some important facts about their revenue, ahead of UEFA's decision on the matter.

Milan released the video with the caption; 'Ahead of UEFA's judgement, we want to share with you some significant facts. We are expecting fairness, rulings based on facts, equal rules for all.'

Last year, the club came under fire for spending more than £175million on new players amid questions over the club's financial stabilty, and of the stability of the Chinese-led consortium which paid £600million to Silvio Berkusconi for the purchase of the club in April 2017.

They also took a loan of more than £263million from a U.S. private equity firm Elliot which Li Yonghong, the club chairman, has struggled to pay back.

AC Milan qualified for the Europa League but risk being excluded if UEFA impose sanctions.

Amid this financial instability, Chicago Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts has said that he is negotiating a deal to purchase the club.

The Edelman public relations firm, which represents the Ricketts, saus that the whole family is interested in Milan for a 'medium-to-long-period investment' and wants to create 'a strong bond with the city.'
