Moments before the start of the match between Athletic and Real Madrid, a fan standing just behind the Real Madrid bench asked the Madrid coach for a chewing gum. Despite his disbelief, the Italian coach gave it to him.
Real Madrid came out on top at the San Mames stadium. The 'Merengues' claimed victory at a very difficult pitch after beating Athletic 2-0, with goals from Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos.
Minutes before kick-off, Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti realised he was being called out from the stands. Just behind the visiting bench there was a fan shouting his name.
The fan asked the Italian to give him one of his famous chewing gums that he always chewed in an exaggerated manner during clashes. "Give me a chewing gum, give me a chewing gum," he repeated.
The Madrid coach, to the astonishment of many, agreed with some disbelief to the request and gave him one as a gift before sitting on the bench to watch the clash against the Basques.
