2017/18 Champions League kicks off
Only a handful of days after Real Madrid emerged victorious of the 2016/17 Champions League in Cardiff, the 2017/18 edition is already underway.
With the draw for the qualifying stages, the top continental club competition gets started as it does every summer.
The more modest sides are given the chance, however brief, to enjoy their turn in the spotlight by playing in Europe's most prestigious club tournament.
These are the fixtures to be be held in the first of the qualifying stages:
