Alderweireld plays without Spurs badge

What was Alderweireld doing as he played while wearing a Spurs shirt with the badge missing? This is the question on everyone's lips after the English side released images of the player during their Premier League match against Liverpool. 

Looking across the pitch, Toby Alderweireld was the only player missing the Tottenham badge, a striker absence that generated a response from social networks - although an absense that is yet to be solved. 

Spurs have not said anything about the odd occurrence, and everything points to it simply being a mistake in shirt preparations.

It is, however, surprising that a Premier League side can overlook such a detail.
