With 369 Serie A games under his belt and 40 candles blown out in July, Antonio Mirante will have the tough task of defending AC Milan's goal against his parent club Juventus in Sunday's Serie A Round 9 clash.
With Mike Maignan suspended following the red card he received against Bologna in the Rossoneri's last match and Marco Sportiello injured, it is the usual third Rossonero goalkeeper who is likely to be fielded by Pioli on Sunday.
Mirante, who joined AC Milan at the start of the 2021/22 season, has only played one match as a 'Rossoneri'. That came on 4th June against Hellas Verona, when he played just one minute.
The Castellammare di Stabia native will be facing his former club, where he trained and played as understudy to Gigi Buffon during the 2006/07 season, in what could be his last match at the highest level.
