Real Madrid appeared to be heading for a draw against the Basque side, but Morata came on and scored the winner with seven minutes to go and now Zidane says that the Spaniard will get more playing time.
"Morata will get more playing time, but we have to be patient," the Frenchman said in a news conference.
"We have to keep working together and Morata will get minutes like everyone else.
"Morata and Lucas [Vazquez] are doing very well. They always play well when they come on.
"Both will start games this season, but it is not easy".
The Real Madrid legend also believes that his side will be near the top of the La Liga table at the end of the season, but is expecting a close fight for first position.
"It will be close at the top all season," he added. "There are no easy games and we will suffer until the end".
