Crystal Palace are reported to have made a bid in the region of £31.5m for Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.
The bid is almost 3 times as much as Crystal Palace's record transfer fee (£12.8m) for midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
The 22-year-old is said to be in demand by clubs across Europe thanks to his 23 goals scored in all competitions for Marseille last season.
West Ham have also made a bid for the talented forward, with Tottenham and Juventus also interested.
Batshuayi made his debut as an 18-year-old for Standard Liege and scored 39 goals in 97 Pro League games for the Belgian outfit.
The young striker also scored on his European Championship debut when Belgium played Hungary in the last 16 of the competition, netting with his first touch.
