Florian Wirtz to wait for Barcelona until 2024

Florain Wirtz doesn't stop causing a stir wherever he goes. German football's young talent is on big sides such as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich's agends, not to mention the Premier League sides who would be up for getting him.

But despite a long list of hopefuls, 'Sport' have reported that the 19 year old midfielder will stay for another year in Bayer Leverkusen, the club where he's under contract until mid-2027.

It seems as though, despite the offers he has on the table, the German international has decided to stay for another season at his club to continue his development in a demanding league such as the Bundesliga. Having said that, according to the source, Wirtz' big dream is to play at the Camp Nou one day and he's not hiding his desire to play at the Catalan side, the side he's followed since a child.

As for Barca, they've already spoken to Wirtz' father, who they've asked for patience. If everything goes to plan for the 'Cules', the Koln academy graduate will arrive at the Camp Nou in 2024. In fact, the Barca board know he won't leave in the summer, as they're well informed of what the player will do in the future. His current asking price is €70 million.
