Chaos in PL as Dunk goal is disallowed, given and then disallowed again!

Brighton and Hove Albion had two clear chances to score in the space of ten minutes at West Brom on Saturday. 

Pascal Gross had the chance to level for the Seagulls with a VAR penalty, but he hit the woodwork. Then, the VAR disallowed Lewis Dunk's goal. 

The Englishman hit the free-kick straight into the back of the net while the opponents were still lining up the wall. He had already scored a goal like that last season at Liverpool. But the referee this Saturday disallowed the goal. After protests, he decided to give it. 

While Brighton were celebrating the goal, the referee Lee Mason got a call from VAR who disallowed Lewis Dunk's goal, so it went back to 1-0. 

The incident caused uproar on social media and the Premier League explained on social media what had happened. The referee initially blew his whistle to allow the free-kick to be taken, but then blew it a second time before the ball had gone into the net so the goal could not be awarded.
