Zirkzee seeks January escape from Old Trafford
Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly looking to leave Manchester United in the upcoming winter transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.
The Dutch striker, who has been an unused substitute in four of the seven Premier League games played so far, is going through a period of great frustration at Old Trafford.
With little playing time and no continuity, the player believes that a change of team in January is crucial to maintain his chances of being called up to the Netherlands squad for next summer's World Cup.
During the last summer transfer window, Napoli, Juventus and PSV Eindhoven showed interest in signing him, although United ultimately kept the striker.
If his departure in the winter goes ahead, it will have been barely 18 months since his arrival from Bologna in a deal worth £36.5 million.
