We are expecting a very busy transfer market for some of the biggest names in Europe, some of whom are being watched by Real Madrid, who are looking to revamp the squad.
With Zidane's return to Los Blancos' bench, we are expecting the club to make several investments. According to 'OK Diario', the Frenchman has alternatives for if his initial ideas don't go to plan.
That is to say that Real Madrid has certain footballers marked as a priority, but there are backup options for if it is not possible to sign the first ones.
One of the names that has been circulating recently is Eden Hazard, who seems closer and closer to signing for Real. For now though, the Belgian continues to play with Chelsea and hasn't given clear details on the decisions for his future.
Los Blancos have signed Felipe Anderson as a potential back-up just incase the 'Blues' player decides not to sign for Madrid.
Rumours have also circulated around Kylian Mbappe, a signing on which the board of directors has seemed very keen.
Tottenham's Eriksen has yet to sign a contract renewal so the powers that be at Real also have their eye on him.
Other players on Real Madrid's radar:
FORWARDS: Nabil Fekir (Lyon), Sadio Mane (Liverpool) and Luka Jovic (Atletico Madrid, the big rival)
MIDFIELD: Houssem Aouar (aged 20, Lyon) who has seen interest from Man City and Barcelona, as well as Fabian Ruiz (Napoli).
DEFENCE: Thomas Meunier, who wants to leave PSG in search of a more high-profile role at another club.
