Zaniolo ready to go to Istanbul: signs with Galatasaray until 2027

Nicolo Zaniolo's time at Jose Mourinho's Roma could be numbered. A huge offer from Turkey for his transfer could see the Italian player move to another club in the next few days.

The 23-year-old right winger, who is on stress leave after receiving a death threat for attempting to leave the Roman club in January, is on the radar of Galatasaray, who are willing to go all out to land him.

In fact, Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk himself has openly admitted in some comments reported by 'Soy Calcio' the club's interest in signing the former Inter Milan player: "Zaniolo is a world-class player. He is a player we would like to see in the squad, although we don't know exactly his situation with Roma. If you ask me if I want to see him in my team, I answer: 'Of course I'd like to land him.

Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has reported on his official Twitter account that Zaniolo is set to fly to Istanbul on Tuesday afternoon to become Galatasaray's new player.

If everything goes according to plan this Tuesday morning, regarding the contract and the documents to be signed, the transfer could be made official in the last hours of the day. According to the same source, the Turks would pay Zaniolo's €35 million termination clause and some €22 million would go directly into Roma's coffers. As for the details of his contract, it would be for four years worth 3.5 million euros per season.
