Chelsea were incensed on Sunday afternoon when, in the lead up to Newcastle's equaliser, Yedlin appeared to elbow Giroud in the face.
The French striker was furious with the officials, but the goal was allowed to stand after Yedlin's cross found Joselu at the near post and he headed past Kepa.
The matter was referred to a panel as it had not been seen by the referee, but they were not able to agree on a verdict so no further action can be taken.
Yedlin later scored an own goal that saw Chelsea win the tie 2-1.
