There are new developments in Memphis Depay's situation at Barcelona. According to Fabrizio Romano, a journalist specialised in the transfer market, his case is between two options.
The aforementioned source revealed a meeting between the club and the Dutchman last week. In it, the club told the striker that he is in Xavi Hernandez's plans for the coming campaign. In principle, he counts for the coach, but there may be another option.
At the same meeting, Barcelona also mentioned a possible exit. The attacking front has been strengthened considerably, so, in a certain case, an exit would not hurt the club so much and would allow Memphis to play a more important role.
In that case, Barça made it clear to the striker that they would agree to sell him for a small fee. However, it is the player himself who has certain conditions to leave Camp Nou, according to 'Mundo Deportivo'.
Depay would not accept a move to just any club. He will only leave for a "powerful team". So far, that adjective can be attributed to Juventus and Tottenham, the team that has shown the most interest, even making an initial offer for the Dutchman.
