Sheffield United appear to have beaten Aston Villa and Wigan to the signing of Ben Woodburn on a season-long loan deal. The Liverpool forward has featured in the team's International Champions Cup squad in pre-season, though has stayed in the US in order to secure the move while the majority of the team move on to France for a pre-season training camp in Evian.
Sheffield United, under Chris Wilder, have also brought in defender Chris Egan, from Brentford. and Dean Henderson on loan from Manchester United this summer.
As Liverpool's youngest-ever goalscorer, Ben Woodburn has been at the club´s academy for over ten years and made 11 appearances for the first team, along with several appearances for the Welsh national team.
Aside from Woodburn, Spanish youngster Pedro Chirivella and England U21 winger Sheyi Ojo also did not travel to France, with the two hoping for moves to Rosenborg in Norway and Middlesbrough respectively.
