Barca player Pedri Gonzalez gave an interview to GQ Spain a few days ago, in which he recognised the disappointment of this season. "It was a failure not to get past the group stage in the Champions League," he said.
This Monday, the Canary Islands player was questioned again in a meeting with Toni Nadal and reviewed several current issues. "Winning a Ballon d'Or? That would be crazy," he said.
"I have enjoyed the titles and also the individual moments, a Golden Boy and a Kopa. Thanks to my team-mates, they've made it easier for me and I've been able to enjoy it," he added of the milestones achieved at the age of 20.
In addition, Pedri himself also spoke about his future objectives on a collective and individual level: "I want to win as much as possible with Barcelona and with the national team. On a personal level, I've never set myself a challenge, for example, a Ballon d'Or or an individual trophy, but well, I always try to improve day by day so that one day I can be at that level".
"Youngsters are getting to professional football earlier. Before it was more complicated to get to the first team at 17. People come up a bit more prepared, especially psychologically. From an early age they are taught to compete and play the way they know how, regardless of whether it's a game in the playground or in front of 80,000 people," he said.
