The Liverpool loanee found the net with a stunning free-kick at Old Trafford to draw his side level, with the 'Rams' eventually going on to win the game on penalties.
With onlookers everywhere impressed by the power, swerve and accuracy on the effort, Redknapp moved to say what everyone else was thinking by hailing the strike and comparing Wilson to Roberto Carlos.
"The free-kick is one of the greatest free-kicks I have ever seen," Redknapp enthused in his role as a pundit for 'Sky Sports'.
"You know when you see great goals? I think of Roberto Carlos' one when he hits that one and that one tonight is one to take your breath away. That was a fantastic goal."
Redknapp and fellow pundit Darren Bent then began to compare the strike to Crsitiano Ronaldo's famous free-kick against Portsmouth during his Manchester United days, with the former Liverpool man admitting that he prefers Wilson's goal to that of Ronaldo.
"That is the different technique you can have," Redknapp explained. "What's the best? (from Ronaldo vs Portsmouth and Wilson vs United)
"You don't get bored of seeing these! It bamboozles the goalkeeper, he doesn't know where he is going!
"I am going to go with Harry Wilson. Both brilliant and that is what it is about."
