'The Mirror' revealed that Chelsea's Brazilian winger Willian was offered to Real Madrid in recent weeks.
The player has not renewed his contract with Chelsea, as he wants to sign for three seasons and they only offer him two.
Although already a veteran, Willian still has a career ahead of him. Without going any further, Barça was interested in signing him a couple of seasons ago.
The English midfielder said that Zinedine Zidane is highly regarded by the winger, but Real Madrid would not be interested in offering a three-year contract to a player like him either.
Kia Joorabchian, the Chelsea player's agent, stressed that his priority was to continue at Stamford Bridge, but if not, the option of staying in the Premier League is what appeals to him the most.
"Chelsea's renewal policy for players over 30 years old only allows them to offer two-year contracts, not three-year contracts, and that's where the blockage is," Joorabchian said.
The agent did not want to make any more statements about new clubs: "He has a contract with Chelsea and until the end of the season it would be disrespectful to talk about other teams".
