Will 2019/20 be the season of surprises?

Borussia Dortmund and Schalke also sit ahead of the Bavarians meaning that for the first time in many years, there is a five horse race to win the Bundesliga.

In the Premier League, despite Liverpool leading the way not being such a surprise compared to Leipzig or Inter being top, it is still significant as the Reds look set to be well on the way to winning the Premier League for the first time in their history while Man City are a whopping 13 points behind. That is not all. Leicester are once again in the top four, Man Utd are struggling once again and Arsenal are unbelievably in ninth. 

La Liga saw Granada led the way at the top early on before Barca and Real Madrid restored normal service by being in the top two. However, they have not had it all their own way this campaign. Both Spanish giants failed to win at Real Sociedad and Valencia respectively and those who bet on both Barca and Real failing to win would have had reason to celebrate on Sunday night. The matches have been highly competitive and the days of the giants routinely winning 6-0 seem to be over.

In Portugal. Famalicao are in third place above Lisbon side Sporting Clube de Portugal despite falling away after making a tremendous start to the season. For several weeks, the newly promoted side were top of the Portuguese league and even defeated Sporting on their own patch. Finally, in Turkey, Sivasspor are top of the tree six points above Besiktas while Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are in fifth and sixth. Galata saw Falcao return last weekend, but they were unable to claim three points despite his presence. 

As you can see, domestic football in Europe has never been more unpredictable so backing the outsiders in matches is not such an ambitious and risky option this term. The second half of the season looks set to be thrilling both from a sporting and a betting view so do not sit back and get betting. All the best!
