After being just a step away from signing for Barcelona, Georginio Wijnaldum's next destination looks set to be Paris Saint-Germain, who overtook the Catalan side in the final sprint to secure the services of the Dutchman.
The Liverpool midfielder looked to be on his way to Spain, but those at the Parc des Princes offered the player a dizzying offer that he simply couldn't refuse - details of which have since been made known.
This Tuesday 8th June, 'De Telegraaf' revealed the the player will land in the French capital to become one of the best paid players on the squad.
According to the aforementioned source, Wijnaldum will receive a staggering ten million euros a year, an amount which will put him above other stars such as Icardi, Kimpembe and Paredes on the wage bill.
The irresistable offer could not be matched by a Barcelona side who is still struggling financially. They were unable to offer a similar salary and consequently withdrew from the race, leaving the Dutchman with a clear path to PSG.
