He believes that cases such as Taison's are bloody, as he was even sent off from the field (after receiving a red card) because of shouts and insutls heard from the stands.
"Why should I play in this case? I think everyone should do it. I believe that it's a way of supporting another person. Why should you stay on the pitch? If you continue playing, it will never stop," Wijnaldum said.
The Dutch midfielder, who plays for Liverpool, starred in a xenophobic act with Frenkie de Jong in the last international break.
"What I believe now is that players are used only as entertainment for other people. Who defends the players? You basically defend other people because you want the game to continue," he regretted.
He named Mario Balotelli's case, who also tried to leave the pitch after racist jokes recently. "It frustrates me a lot to see this because they don't know what it feels like. With Balotelli it wasn't the first time that it happened. Why not support him and walk off the pitch with him? They don't feel the pain like the person who suffers the racist abuse does," he finished.
