Who Will Win PFA Footballer of the Year Award?

Arsenal is second trailing the league leaders by 12 points. With nine more matches to go, it is hard to imagine Liverpool slipping more than a couple of times. The math is clear, Liverpool needs to lose at least four matches till the year ends, and Arsenal would have to win all of theirs in order to close the gap and take over the Enfield lads at the top.
We don't know about you, but for us it is hard to imagine a team that has lost only one match so far, losing another four in the span of two months. What's even harder to imagine is Arsenal hitting their stride and winning every match until the year ends. League is as good as over, but there's plenty more to play for, especially on the individual level. What we're going to try and answer right now is who do we see as favorites to take home the coveted PFA Players' Player of the Year award. Check out our favorites below.
Palmer made a name for himself last year, when he scored 22 goals and assisted 11 more in 33 matches. Plenty was expected from him this year, and if you know a thing or two about the Premier League football picks and predictions, you know that he was a favourite early in the year to win the PFA Players' Player of the Year. With 14 goals and 6 assists in 28 matches this season, Cole is having another solid year, and has an eye on the PFA award. But, he's not as close to it as he was last season. Nowhere near.
The Norwegian prodigy is one of the best strikers in the world. You could argue he's the most lethal finisher in the PL. While that would be true any other year, he's playing subpar to his standards this season. So far, Haaland has scored 21 goals and added 3 assists, which is enough for the second place on the list of the PLs best scorers this year. Manchester City is having their worst season ever under Pep Guardiola, and the league position will play a role in determining the player of the season, this is why we believe that Haaland will not win this trophy despite having quite a solid year, and nine more matches to increase his goal tally.
Isak showed a lot of promise since his arrival to Newcastle from Real Sociedad, but this year he's finally playing close to his full potential. Isak has been the name on Newcastle United fans lips, and he's been attracting attention from all of the top teams in Europe in recent months. Newcastle won the League Cup over the weekend with Isak scoring in the process. As far as the league year goes he's been lethal in front of the goal scoring 19 times and assisting 5 times in 25 outings. Any other year and he'd be running away with the PFA Players' Player of the Year, but this year, both us and the good people at Stake.com online casino and sportsbook know who will win it when it's all said and done in the 2024/25 Premier League Season.
The New Zealand superstar is having the best season of his life. Wood is the standout man in the PL this year, and it has nothing to do with his height. The experienced striker is having Nottingham Forest battling the big dogs of PL for a spot in the Champions League and all things considered Forest is deserving of a CL place next year. Back in 2016/17 Wood scored 27 goals in 44 matches for Leeds but that was in the Championship. As far as PL goes, Chris is having his best year by far. At the moment he has 25 starts with 18 goals and 3 assists. As far as underdog stories go, Wood and Forest deserve all the recognition. Chris Wood is living his best life and has rediscovered the fountain of youth with the way he's playing. The Forest Renaissance under Nuno Espirito Santo will be the talk of the street long after the season is over, but with all good heart poured into what Wood is doing in the twilight of his career, he will miss out on the PFAs award this year.
You do not have to be an online sports betting expert to know that the PFA Players' Player of the Year award is going into the hands of Mohamed Salah. While the calendar year is not over yet, we can state that the Pharaoh has led the Reds to their 20th league title this season. Throughout the year, Salah has been amazing, and his season is nothing short of phenomenal. The best part is that there's still plenty of games left to play. Considering that Liverpool is now out of the FA Cup, lost the League Cup final, and have lost to PSG in the Champions League, Salah is having 9 games to fully put his focus on. No one can say that he hasn't been focused so far. At the moment, the Egyptian superstar has 29 league games to his name, 27 goals and 17 assists. He's on the brink of having only the second 20/20 season ever behind the legendary Thierry Henry. If Mohamed manages to reach the 30 goal mark and pair it with more than 20 assists, he will not only win the PFA Players' Player of the Year award, but he will also be the favourite to win the Ballon d'Or award if he isn't already.
This has been the year of the Pharaoh, and with all due respect to Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak, Chris Wood, and Cole Palmer, they never stood a chance against a man on a mission that Mohamed Salah is. Remember folks, he's doing all of this on an expiring contract. A true professional to the core!
