Since 1968, it has been held every two years, with the odd-numbered years commencing in 2013. The current Cup champion is Algeria.
With the 2021 Cup still playing out, we will be reviewing some of the favorites to win the Africa Cup of Nations!
With a plethora of interesting teams still kicking out, many fans are putting their bets worldwide on who will be the champion! If you’re willing to test your luck and prediction skills in soccer, visit onlinekladionice.com for further details.
Ivory Coast
In Group E, Ivory Coast is facing Sierra Leone, Equatorial Guinea, and most importantly, Algeria. Ivory Coast is one of the tournament favorites. However, Algeria is their biggest obstacle towards the African Cup title. Defeating the previous champion might be too big of a bite for Ivory Coast, but their team is more than ready to conquer every opponent. With the help of Nicolas Pepe and Wilfried Zaha, Sebastien Haller gets an opportunity to establish his value as a top-notch attacker. The Ivorians have their eyes set on the prize!
Egypt
Egypt has an above-average team led by Mohamed Salah. Currently, Salah is one of the best players on the globe. Salah is in lethal shape and is more than capable of carrying Egypt on his own. However, Mohamed Salah is also Egypt's biggest weakness. If the enemy team finds a method to immobilize Salah, Egypt will face doom. That would be a cause of concern for Egypt, which lacks strong and independent players on its squad. Salah will be required if they are to win.
Senegal
Fans and other teams regard Senegal as one of the top football teams in the world. Superstars fill a big part of Senegal's team. Their team composition makes it one of their biggest assets in this Cup. When it's all said and done, Edouard Mendy will be a contender for the Golden Glove and Sadio Mane will be a star up forward. However, that is just the beginning of their intimidating strength as a team. Their depth is unequaled, and there's a reason they're FIFA's top-ranked African squad. We deeply believe that Senegal will reach the final and possibly steal the crown from Algeria.
Algeria
We've spoken a lot about how daunting facing Algeria will be, and rightfully so. The defending champions are still undeniably one of Europe's top teams. With Riyad Mahrez, Said Benrahma, and Islam Slimani in attack, every enemy defense will crack. On the other side, they also have talent at fullback and in midfield, where Ramy Bensebaini and Youcef Atal can wreak havoc on any other team. Algeria will be favorites in every match they play until at least the semi-final if they finish ahead of Ivory Coast in Group E. We are more than excited to see the possible clash between Senegal and Algeria in the semi-finals or possibly the finals! Keep your eyes out on this year's cup!
