One of football's most anticipated matches, 'El Clásico' could be more intriguing than ever this season as Real Madrid look to challenge Barcelona's domination once again after a big-spending summer transfer window.
The first of the sides' two meetings will take place at the Camp Nou on 27th October (gameweek 10), before Real host Barça at the Santiago Bernabéu on 1st March (gameweek 26).
Last season, Madrid and Barcelona faced off four times as they met in the Copa del Rey as well as La Liga, with 'La Azulgrana' advancing in Spain's cup competition over two legs.
The first matchup between the two in the league last season ended in Julen Lopetegeui's resignation as his Madrid side were humiliated 5-1 by a Messi-less Barcelona.
Their next meeting in the Copa del Rey was much more even, with the two sides drawing at the Camp Nou before Barcelona won the second leg away at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Just three days later, Barça all but wrapped up the La Liga title with a 1-0 win at the Bernabéu. 'Los Blancos' will be hoping that the tables will turn this year after a summer in which they have dramatically rebuilt their squad.
