With the permission of the other teams, Barcelona and Real Madrid will fight for the 2019-20 LaLiga title. 58 points for the Catalans, 56 for the Madrid team, leader until the last round.
There are 33 points left to finish the championship. Eleven rounds of matches in which every setback can mean a slab in the fight for the title.
Barcelona's calendar
Barcelona will start their restart with a visit to Son Moix. Mallorca will be the first rival of Quique Setién's team, who will later host Leganés at the Camp Nou. Two teams in the relegation zone.
The team has a difficult visit later, as it will travel to Sánchez-Pizjuán to play against a Sevilla FC which is in the middle of the fight for a spot in the Champions League. Then, Athletic Bilbao will visit Barça. It is important to remember that the Basque Country beat the Catalan team in the first match of LaLiga this season, and they are also the team that left Setién's men without a spot in the Copa del Rey final.
After the departure to Balaídos, Barcelona have two consecutive commitments with Atletico de Madrid, at home, and Villarreal, before hosting Espanyol in the derby.
Valladolid, in the Jose Zorrilla; Osasuna, in the Camp Nou; and Alavés, in Mendizorriza, will suppose the end of the calendar for a Barcelona that arrives with two points of advantage, but will no doubt struggle to keep such an advantage considering the gruesome calendar.
Real Madrid's calendar
Real Madrid, after losing at Benito Villamarin, will host Eibar on their first day. There will be two consecutive matches at the Santiago Bernabeu, the second one against Valencia.
Odegaard's Real Sociedad will be the first away match for Zinedine Zidane's team, who will later play at home against Mallorca as a preliminary match to the trip to the RCDE Stadium to face Espanyol.
A Madrid derby against Getafe and a visit to San Mamés will leave two of the hardest tests for Real Madrid, who will then receive Alaves at their Alfredo Di Stefano stadium while the Santiago Bernabeu continues its renovations.
Real Madrid will visit Nuevo Los Cármenes, play at home against Villarreal and finish La Liga in Butarque, where Leganes could be playing for relegation.
Who will win?
Still a question without answers considering the 11 rounds remaining. The dynamics of the teams, the acclimatization to the new scenario without an audience, the five changes and the stress of having so many games one after the other can mark the title.
It is possible to estimate who would win by watching the matches in the first round. Barcelona, against their remaining teams, had eight wins, two draws and one defeat (against Athletic), which would add up to 26 points.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, recorded seven wins, three draws and one defeat, against Mallorca, which marked the turning point. That would leave them with 24 points. Adding up the gains so far, Barcelona would win La Liga by four points.
