"It's true that this season has seen its highs and lows... maybe more lows than we're accustomed to", said Kroos of Real Madrid's season.
But the German does not believe there is any cause to worry. "After these recent seasons, it's normal for this type of thing to happen. We've just had three incredible years", he explained.
And now he wants to think of the future, saying: "It's true that this season things have not panned out as we had wanted. Now we must continue working hard and looking towards the future."
He also assured reporters that he would not be changing his style of play in an attempt to improve matters, nor would he be changing his identity. "Nobody can make me doubt my style of play. I feel good", he declared.
Speculation is mounting, however, that the German could be close to an exit from the club, with the likes of Manchester United and PSG lurking. But he would not talk about such speculation at the press conference, focusing all his conversation on Germany and their attempts to qualify for Euro 2020.
