What it would cost Inter to sign Eriksen in January

In Italy, it was expected that the Danish player could land at Milan this June, but everything could be brought forward to this January.

Christian Eriksen's story is difficult to understand. A couple of years ago he was the subject of a multi-million pound move, but Tottenham preferred to keep hom and then, in the summer 2019, they did not want to sell him to any club.

Due to this, the Danish faced this season with the knowledge that he could go to another club in 2020 as a free agent. This has affected his performance, as he has neither been consistent nor focused enough to play his best football.

As the months went by, it became clear that Inter Milan were the team most interested in signing him and the one most willing to pay him a large sum and bonus for his transfer at the end of his contract.

Although there is nothing official, in Italy they confirmed that the team have a "yes" from the player to sign in June, until 2024, but all parties want to speed up the process.

According to 'Sky Italia', Tottenham and Inter are negotiating for the move and all parties are said to benefit. The Italians, because they will receive a great and very important player to help them fight for titles in Serie A and the Europa League. The player, because he could focus as much as he wanted on his new team and Tottenham, finally, because they will get some sort of economic benefit for a player who would have gone from free in June.

The problem, for now, is that Inter and Spurs cannot reach an agreement. The first offer from Inter was one of 10 million euros, but Tottenham want 20. This is where both clubs are at, whilst Jose Mourinho claimed to know the problem recently...
